Walnut entryway bench with built-in shoe rack
This entryway piece was made for a client looking for an elegant way to welcome guests and a tidy place to store shoes and accessories.
With modern angles and lines, this bench top and legs are connected via mitered cuts, for a more seamless and continuous grain look, and reinforced with floating mortise and tenons joinery. To lighten the look, the inside edges were bevelled throughout.
The bench is accented with two storage shelves, made of ten polished 304 stainless steel bars (heavy duty steel that’s used in kitchen sinks and appliances) that extend all the way through one leg, for a refined industrial look of rich walnut and polished steel.
This piece measures 6 feet long, 18 inches wide and 18 inches tall.
It is available in white oak, red oak, ash, cherry, maple and walnut wood.
